Kollywood Pongal Release Film
Just 3 days for the big bang day- January 14, Pongal 2010, traditionally the best time to release films in Tamil Nadu.

All the four Pongal releases- Aayirathil Oruvan, Kutty, Nanayam & Porkkalam will hit the screens on the festival day.

As of now Aayirathil Oruvan has got the maximum number of screens worldwide including Chennai City where it is releasing in 14 screens.

Kutty the other biggie gets 13 screens, while the comparatively smaller Nanayam and Porkkalam gets 9 each in Chennai City.

The grapevine is abuzz that the overseas prints of both Aayirathil Oruvan and Kutty have been dispatched confirming their release.

The advance booking for both the films have started in Chennai.

South India Actress Asin win the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
Asin made her debut in Bollywood, with ‘Ghajini’, the remake of its Tamil namesake, subsequently winning the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.

Ever since then Asin has gone on an award winning spree.

The recent being, ‘Lux–Sabse Tez Sitara’ for an upcoming and promising star in the film industry.

Reveals a source, “Asin has big brands behind her name. She made her debut with Aamir Khan and the next film saw her with Salman Khan. She is a classic beauty and has a long way to go in the industry. The ‘Sabse Tez Sitar Award’ is well deserved.”

Asin recently also received the Kalaimamani Award from the governor of Chennai for her contribution to arts and cinema and the Anandalok Award (The biggest award ceremony in Kolkata) for the best actress for ‘Ghajini’.
