Subramaniapuram turned out to be a winner despite competing with the biggies like Dasavathram and Kuselan. This has proved that good films will be welcomed by the audience irrespective of the star cast.
The film was directed by the debutante director Sasi Kumar who had also donned the greasepaint for an important role in the film. Jai, the hero of Subramaniapuram, proved his mettle though it happened to be his second film. The heroine Swathi's performance and naïve looks won her accolades from all quarters.
Subramaniapuram is based on a relatively new concept and the director was bold enough to experiment in his very first film. The film was based in Madurai, outlining the events that occurred in the 1980s.
The director's perfectionism was evident from the minute details that he took into consideration while filming the scenes. He was careful to recreate the 1980's Madurai and never missed out details even in a single scene. All this has seen to it that Subramaniapuram reach its 100th day without any hitches.
We congratulate the team for this astounding success!
