The Rajini-starrer “Sivaji: The Boss”, directed by Shankar and produced by AVM, which is rated as the superstar’s best ever film and scored many firsts, .is what spurred the two titans of Tamil cinema to come together and make a film featuring both of them.
Rajinikanth is said to be quite earnest about doing a new film with Kamal and making it a bigger success than “Sivaji”.
A couple of days ago, Rajini drove to Kamal’s residence at Alwarpet and took him to Raghavendra Kalyanamandapam at Kodambakkam where they held talks in private and decided to press ahead with the new project. Director Mani Ratnam has reportedly started working on the story.
